Stephen L. Brooks was born in Baltimore City, Maryland, and lived in Baltimore County all his life. Since fifth grade he has wanted to be an author. A former teacher, he was hired by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1978 as a Library Technician. It was here he met his wife Vicki, and they have been married since 1980.. He served as assistant to two librarians before assuming full management of the technical library in 1994, a position from which he retired in 2014.
His interests range from superheroes to history, from religion to myth, from mysteries to science fiction, and he loves old movies, especially B westerns and horror. These interests are expressed in his books, and he promises many more to come.
