Thorp McClusky

Thorp McClusky (1906 – 1975) was an American writer known by fans of the pulps for his fantastic horror and science fiction stories for Weird Tales, Amazing Stories and other magazines, as well as children’s adventure novels marketed to boys such as Chuck Malloy, Railroad Detective and Jimmy Kean And The Radio Spies.

Meanwhile, McClusky was also famous for his bestselling Your Health And Chiropractic, plus numerous other books and articles on the subject. During World War II he wrote extensively for the US Army, including their official manual for drivers of military vehicles. After WWII, he wrote for Readers Digest, The Christian Herald, and various “men’s” magazines when these focused on adventure stories and nonfiction, like Adventure, Argosy, and Man to Man.
